Journaling is more than a habit—it’s a way to process life and leave behind a piece of ourselves. When I write, I imagine someone reading it someday, discovering my story. This perspective gives my words weight, making them feel purposeful.
At my lowest, my journals were filled with dark, raw emotions. I eventually burned those pages, unable to bear the thought of someone finding them. Yet even those words helped me heal, allowing me to release pain in the moment.
Journaling is an act of preservation. It reminds us that our experiences matter. Whether written for ourselves or a future reader, it’s a way to connect with our past and keep moving forward.
Write your story. It doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be real.
