Art has always been part of me, but struggles with my mental health caused me to lose touch with my creativity. Now, as I pursue my goal of becoming an art teacher, I’m learning to embrace the process of rebuilding my skills.
Art journaling has been my way back. It’s not about perfection—it’s about expressing myself freely. This is the message I want to share with my future students: Creativity is about exploration, not flawless technique.
Taking studio art classes is my way of reconnecting with painting and drawing. Although I’m nervous, I know this is part of my growth.
I want to create a classroom where students feel free to experiment and express themselves. My own struggles and growth will help inspire them to embrace their inner artist, no matter where they start. Every step I take in this journey is one toward greater confidence—and I’m excited to share that with others.
